Attached is a link to an awesome introductory motion sequence for the french film Crustacés et Coquillages. As you watch the ribbon move around in the sea, it does some really wonderful things. First off, it is an action line, but then you realize it is typography! It animates the music, but also defines the structure of the Letterforms. There is a really beautiful moment, when the ribbon becomes an ampersand, linking the two names being announced, and then when the camera zooms out, you find that the ampersand is also the titular one! Ah, se manefique! Also, small gimmicks like sea coeloms growing out of counters and a little crap clipping the flourish as it continuously grows, all of these little actions sort of play off of having a handmade typeface, or at least an animated and augmented one.
